During her employment with Local 6, April attended Valencia College. There she met her husband, Chris. After 5 years in the Local 6 Art Department, she decided to start her own graphic design firm, Striking Designs, Inc., specializing in print design, branding and logo design.
Chris, also a graphic and software designer, developed his own business management software. April decided to merge her graphic talent and business with her husband's and named the business Little Fish Big Ocean, Inc. Married in the spring of 2000, April and Chris have 4 children, a boy and 3 girls. Based in Orlando, Florida, they travel most of the year visiting existing and new clients throughout the US.
